Prescribed Bodies Corporate

There are four Prescribed Body Corporates (PBCs) in Victoria:

  • Barengi Gadjin Land Council
  • Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation
  • Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation
  • Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation

There is one Traditional Owner Settlement Entity:

  • Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation

In recent years, these corporations have sought assistance from NTSV to coordinate a series of meetings which culminated in a commitment to work towards forming the Federation of Victorian Traditional Owner Corporations.

The Federation provides a platform to discuss common issues and leverage the recognition of rights, interests and native title settlement outcomes to their full potential.
