  • Historic Settlement

In March 2013 the Dja Dja Wurrung People achieved a landmark native title settlement.

It was the first settlement to be primarily resolved under the Traditional Owner Settlement Act 2010 (Vic).

Our People

Native Title Services Victoria staff are arranged into three teams that broadly reflect the broad geographic areas of Victoria; North-West, South and Central Victoria.

Each team is:

  • led by a Senior Solicitor
  • includes one or two additional Solicitors
  • includes an Anthropologist, Historian and a Community Liaison Officer
  • is responsible for providing services for several defined Traditional Owner groups

To complement this structure the policy capacity of NTSV has been enhanced with a dedicated Policy and Development Unit, enabling us to deliver a broader range of services to Victorian Traditional Owners in both the pre and post settlement environments.
