Native Title Services Victoria exists to deliver sustainable Native Title outcomes to Aboriginal people in Victoria that will respect, protect and transmit Aboriginal culture and identity for present and future generations.

Currently in Victoria there are 17 active Native Title applications:
NTSV represents the applicants in 12 of the claims;
11 claims have been referred to the National Native Title Tribunal for mediation.
Native Title Services Victoria is also looking at the opportunities for Victoria's Aboriginal nations to achieve land justice through avenues outside formal Native Title outcomes. These include:
Indigenous Land Use Agreements
A Land Justice Settlement with the State Government and Traditional Owners
Developing Protocols with Local and State Government.
The Victorian Traditional Owners Land Justice Group (LJG) is continuing a long tradition of traditional owner activism and working together for land justice in Victoria. Native Title Services Victoria supports the efforts of the LJG to establish a community driven, grass roots land justice group. To find out more about the LJG go to www.landjustice.com.au.
